Houston – State Representative Sarah Davis (R-West U) today released video of remarks to a May 14 Naturalization Ceremony on the eve of Independence Day celebrations.

Speaking to immigrants from more than 100 countries of origin, Davis proclaimed, “But whether your family settled here in the 1600s, or were born in another nation, we are all Americans, equal under the law.”

The ceremony was presided over by Federal Judge David Hittner in the Aldine community of Houston. Davis was the keynote speaker, celebrating the great tradition of legal immigration that, “enriches our country” because naturalized citizens, “invigorate our nation with new blood.”

Davis will celebrate the 4th by participating in the Bellaire July 4th Parade and Festival.
