State Representative Sarah Davis Files for Re-Election to District 134

Houston, TX – Today, State Representative Sarah Davis (R-West University Place) formally
filed with the Harris County GOP Chair to seek re-election to House District 134 in the Texas
Legislature.

“I have been honored to serve as the representative for Texas House District 134. After a tough
session, I am once again seeking the support of the voters to continue to represent their interests
at the state capitol. While I am disappointed that some of my friends have been carved out of
District 134 by a federal judge in San Antonio, I am excited to meet the new voters that the
district has gained as a result,” Davis said.

Sarah was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2010, and serves on the Public
Health and Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committees.

“I am committed to running a vigorous campaign, because I believe it is important that District
134 remain represented by a strong fiscal conservative in the Texas House of Representatives,”
Davis said.

Noted Republican pollster Mike Baselice has released a report indicating that the new District
134 typically votes more than 54% Republican. So the court-drawn HD 134 remains a
Republican district in Harris County.

Sarah is a partner with the national law firm of Lewis Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith, LLP. After
receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Baylor in 1998, she went on to earn her Law
Degree from the University of Houston in 2001. Sarah and her husband, Kent, live in West
