A Friend of Israel

Sarah passed legislation meant to counter the “Boycott, Divestiture, and Sanction Israel” movement.  Her legislation demotivates discriminatory trade practices by prohibiting the State from investing or contracting with companies that are part of the concerted effort to isolate Israel from the global community through boycotting, divestment or sanctions. Trade with Israel currently represents three-quarters of a billion dollars.

Additionally, Sarah passed legislation that updates state contracting law to prohibit government entities from contracting with companies engaged in active business operations with Sudan, Iran, or any other state sponsors of terrorism.
